The First Successful Brazilian Model

Gisele Bundchen is the first Brazilian model to become world-famous; moreover, she is considered the richest model in the world. Among her contracts, the most known one is with Victoria’s Secret whose Angel she was from 2000 up to 2006 . Besides modeling career, Bundchen has appeared in the cinema as a supporting actress in the popular films Taxi in 2004 and The Devil Wears Prada in 2006. Bundchen is also a successful businesswoman, since 2001 she has produced Ipanema sandals, her own line; moreover, she owns some real estate.
Bundchen career began in 1994 when she was noticed by a modeling agency of San Paulo; in 1996 she took her first part in New York Fashion Week. As a model, Bundchen has posed for various internationally-known brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Missoni, Ralph Lauren, Valentino, Versace, Chloe, Gianfranco Ferre and others. As a runway model, she has opened New York, Paris and Milan shows of Marc Jacobs, Christian Dior, Michael Kors and more.
